Marijuana's bad rap didn't come about until the 1900s. Controversy soon followed and politicians acted with force. The drug war, initiated by President Nixon, casted a wide net demonizing all drugs, effectively ending medical marijuana in the USA. It took decades for medicinal marijuana to be used again. Of course, dispensaries in California became ubiquitous. And then a huge moment: Colorado and Washington completely legalized marijuana. Now, not only medical dispensaries are all over Denver, but there are head shops that sell bubble hash to anyone.
